Elizabeth Bryan Chairman (Non-executive/Independent) Bachelor of Arts (Australian National University, Australia) and Master of Economics (University of Hawaii, USA) Ms Bryan was appointed a director of Caltex Australia Limited on 18 July 2002 and appointed Chairman of the Board on 1 October 2007. In 2007, Ms Bryan was a member of the Nomination Committee and the OHS & Environmental Risk Committee, becoming Chairman of each of those committees when she was appointed Chairman of the Board. Since becoming Chairman of the Board, Ms Bryan has also attended meetings of the Audit Committee in an ex-officio capacity. Throughout 2007 Ms Bryan also served as Chairman of the Human Resources Committee. Ms Bryan is a professional director and brings management, strategic and financial expertise to Caltex. Ms Bryan has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, government policy and administration, and on the boards of companies and statutory organisations. Prior to becoming a professional director she served for six years as Managing Director of Deutsche Asset Management and its predecessor organisation, NSW State Superannuation Investment and Management Corporation. Ms Bryan is the Chairman of Unisuper and is also on the National Board of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
