John Thorn Director (Non-executive/Independent) FCA Mr Thorn was appointed a director of Caltex Australia Limited on 2 June 2004. In 2007, he was Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nomination Committee and the OHS & Environmental Risk Committee. Mr Thorn brings expertise to the Board in the areas of audit and accounting practice and standards, business advisory services and risk management. Mr Thorn had over 37 years’ professional experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a partner from 1982 to 2003, undertaking work for major international and local companies. During this period, he served as Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Assurance & Business Advisory Service practice (from 1998 to 2001) and as the National Managing Partner (from 2001 to 2003).
